Beaujolais Nouveau is a light, fruity red wine from the Beaujolais region of France, made from the Gamay grape. It’s unique because it’s released just weeks after harvest—on the third Thursday of November each year—making it one of the youngest wines sold. The quick fermentation process gives it bright, fresh flavours of red fruit (like cherry and strawberry) and low tannins. The release is celebrated worldwide with festivals and tastings marking the arrival of the new vintage.
