The first official UK release from Ballindalloch, one of Speyside’s smallest distilleries, is a distinctive single malt. Made from barley grown on the Ballindalloch estate and distilled using traditional worm tub condensers, it offers a refined yet bold profile, with floral, citrus, and honey notes taking center stage.
Ballindalloch Estate has been in the possession of the Macpherson-Grant family since 1546. The 2015 vintage is crafted from a blend of 80% ex-bourbon casks and 20% ex-sherry casks, with all the whisky aged for a minimum of 8 years.
Tasting Notes
Nose – A refreshing burst of lemon zest, followed by honey, a hint of breadiness, and then aromas of sherbet and shortbread biscuits.
Palate – Sweet and smooth with a silky, oily texture, leading to barley sugar, complemented by a touch of spice and caramel.
Finish – The finish is long and graceful, with flavours of fondant icing, sultanas, and apples lingering.
